I design and write educational resources for museums, galleries, exhibitions, collections, events and projects – these could be trails, teachers packs, maps, worksheets or activity packs.
I worked as an education officer at museums and galleries for 10 years before going freelance. This in addition to having studied the history of art and architecture and being a designer, gives me an insight into what a client, museum visitor, teacher or pupil needs from different educational resources. I produce resources that are well researched on a variety of subjects, engaging and visually stimulating.
These commissions work in different ways; creating the whole package from research and writing through to finished design and printing. Whereas at other times I do the design only, working with text provided – each project is different.
